Blessings to all!

Our organization is a brotherhood of indigenes of Eko, (Lagos State, Nigeria), so called 'Omo Eko', now resident in the New York area of the United States of America. We are a chapter of Eko Club International (the umbrella body of all indigenous Eko/Lagosian clubs in the US, UK and Canada) and a 'Chartered' affiliate of Eko Club of Lagos ( parent organization for all 'Omo Eko').

Our focus is on creating the right environment for members to grow and improve the quality of our lives and by extension, of 'Omo Eko' the world over.

Eko Club New York was founded in 1998 as a 'Chartered' affiliate of the Eko Club, Lagos, Nigeria with the following mission Statement:

    - To galvanize the effort of all 'Omo Eko' in the United States towards improving the lives of all 'Omo Eko'

       at home and abroad.

    - To promote the economic, social and political development of Lagos State.

    - To assist members to achieve their individual and collective goals.

    - To make useful information available to members.

    - To express love, brotherhood and collective economy of all members through the initiation of members

       themselves.

    - To strengthen the unity and understanding of all 'Omo Eko' in Nigeria, USA and worldwide.

    - To create and promote an atmosphere appropriate for intertribal communication and to foster the

cultural, traditional and social welfare of its members, with that of the Yoruba being the Primus inter-

       pares.

    - To advance and promote the social, economic, cultural, civic andthe general welfare of Nigerians in New

       York.

    - To rededicate ourselves to showcasing the the culture and tradition of Lagos State to our American friends

and family and to continue fostering love and friendship within the Nigeria and its people.

    - To act collectively in times of emergency and need, that affects the country of Nigeria and its people.

    - To assist and provide moral and financial support to its members in needs, sickness, death and social

       activities.

    - To provide human services, redevelop communities and enhance the quality of life for our members

       and the community at large.

In order to achieve this, our membership is drawn from various professions and cuts across various age groups. In furtherance, the bedrock of our club is our family as most of our programmes have themes that are family-centered.

We invite you to explore our world and support our initiatives and programs!

Thank you and more blessing!
